Testing audio equipment with acoustic measurements

Our services around the testing of audio equipment.
Head and torso simulator (short: HATS), which is used to conduct audio tests

Testing audio equipment with acoustic measurements has for many years been part of the approval testing for mobile phones. Over the past few years, the field of application of these tests has widened. Thus, audio tests are now also necessary in the context of the approval of voice or emergency assistance systems.

We are accredited for the testing of audio system equipment and voice performance, amongst others specializing in the testing of Acoustical Quality Evaluation for mobile terminals. Depending on the requirements, the acoustic tests are complied with the use of various Test Head Coupler or the “HATS” (head and torso simulator) as well as professional microphones and audio sources. Among other things, our tests ensure compliance in accordance with the requirements of the Global Certification Forum (GCF) and PTCRB.

In addition, we test the operationality and quality of the voice functions of the head units and emergency call assistance systems in the vehicle for the automotive industry.
