End of 2018, the Wireless Planning and Coordination Wing (WPC) approved the use of three different technologies from the areas of Short Range Devices, WLAN 5 GHz and Wireless Charging in India:

• Use of Low Power and Very Low Power Short Range Radio Frequency Devices
• Use of Wireless Access System including Radio Local Area Network in 5 GHz band
• Use of Very Low Power Ultra-Wideband Devices
