An RCB issues approvals for the Japanese market.
The Japanese Radio and Telecommunications Business Law states that all telecommunications equipment marketed in Japan is subject to conformity assessment and certification by a body recognized by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC).
The MIC certification is carried out by a MIC Registered Certification Body (RCB). An RCB can therefore review and grant an application for certification on behalf of the MIC and allow the market approval of a product.
CETECOM has been officially listed in the NANDO (New Approach Notified and Designated Organisations) and the MIC database as an RCB for Sectoral Annex on Radio Equipment since last week for the following scopes:
- Article 38-2-2 Paragraph (1) Item i) of Radio Law (License not required)
- Article 38-2-2 Paragraph (1) Item ii) of Radio Law (Radio stations prescribed in Artide27-2(i).Radio Law)
- Article 38-2-2 Paragraph (1) Item iii) of Radio Law (Others) (All of the Specified Radio Equipment)
