The market approval of products with radio technologies is based on the EU requirements defined in the associated Radio Equipment Directive (RED).
After a successful approval – among others by a notified body – the manufacturer is obliged to use the CE mark on his product. The CE mark is permanently valid and tests in an accredited laboratory are necessary.
