The competent authority for radio licensing in Canada is Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada (ISED). The technical requirements are in most cases identical to those of the USA and the tasks of the FCB for Canada are similar to those of a TCB.
An FCB has the power to submit and assess an application for approval of a product on behalf of ISED. Accordingly, an FCB is, analogous to the TCB in the USA, a certification body that approves certifiable equipment according to the accreditation scope and issues technical acceptance certificates.
We offer our customers all services for a registration for the Canadian market. As an ISO 17025 accredited and ISED recognized laboratory, we perform measurements for ISED certification in our laboratories.
Our Foreign Certification Body handles the certification process and the final coordination with the authority and local representative. Throughout the entire testing and certification process, we take care of the project handling for you, thus ensuring an efficient approval process and a quick admission to the Canadian market.
