The typical M2M product utilizes technologies, such as GSM, GPRS, and W-CDMA, to transmit data through a wireless network. This is done by integrating a module, preferably one that is pre-certified. In order to utilize a wireless network, major operators require the device be tested and certified to be assured it meets quality measures and does not negatively impact their network.
