CETECOM appointed in TCB Council

On the basis of many years of successful approval handling and solid experience as a certification body with national and international authorities and courts, Mr. Gerald Schmidt of CETECOM ICT Services in Saarbrücken, Germany, has been voted as the only Non-US member of the Executive Committee of the TCB Council. This honorary position is appointed for a 2-years term effective March 2009. The purpose of the TCB Council is to provide a forum for periodic dialogue between the FCC and the worldwide located TCB’s in order to facilitate on-going activities geared toward the improvement of TCB technical and administrative performance.

As a member of various national and international bodies, CETECOM is constantly working on global standards for telecommunications and IT products:

• Through our position as Non-US Member of the TCB Council CETECOM can actively advise the Council with the set up and realization of new standards and guidelines while ensuring a balanced representation of the interests of non U.S. countries and TCB’s.
• We will also be ideally positioned to advise manufacturers who wish to sell their product in the U.S. market on all current conformity requirements or international ruling to be expected in order to ensure a smooth and quick approval procedure.
