GCF
The Global Certification Forum, known as GCF, is an active partnership between mobile network operators, mobile device manufacturers and the test industry. GCF provides an independent program to ensure global interoperability of 2.5 and 3G mobile wireless terminals. GCF is a globally recognized program that complements existing regional regulatory certification requirements.
The current GCF membership includes around 150 network operators worldwide, more than 40 leading terminal manufacturers and over 65 test equipment manufacturers, test laboratories and other organizations.
GCF compliance ensures high reliability and functionality on UMTS and GSM/GPRS mobile networks. Wireless operators benefit by knowing that GCF certified devices will perform optimally on networks, providing customers with seamless roaming.
