The introduction of the electronic Health Card (eHC) represents a milestone in the renewal of the German health care system. This development is accompanied by technical innovations concerning the system's integration into a communication infrastructure. To that process CETECOM contributes its competence in testing card terminals and their connectors as well as many years of experience in the verification of telecommunication equipment and credit card readers.
 
CETECOM is listed by gematik as a test lab for Gesundheitskarte terminals and connectors.
 
Our test package includes:

• Testing the card interface to ensure the technical usability. These tests are based on the EMV Level 1 specifictions and guarantee the reliable and correct reading of all approved health cards.
• EMC Testing. In the sensitive environment of healthcare services it is of particular importance to avoid mutual interference between different devices.
• Electrical Safety. This is done to ensure there is no hazard given for the user when operating a device.
