Frequency Notification
The international regulations for radio frequency management are currently mainly based on the allocation of frequency bands to different radio communication services. The basic purpose of these regulations consists in ensuring that all radio usages obtain international protection or recognition while maintaining the availability of the spectrum for future usages.
The allocation of frequencies has not been harmonized in the whole EEC. Therefore, before launching radio equipment on the market, the manufacturer must assess the frequency allocation by consulting the National Frequency tables. If the frequency of the radio equipment is not harmonized in a specific country, a spectrum management notification procedure is required in the relevant member state.
