EMVCo Contactless Level 1
Contactless cards contain a tiny micro chip and antenna based on RFID radio frequency identification and smart card technology.
The RFID technology is specfied in the ISO 14443 Standard. EMVCo used this standard to develop and install an approval and certification scheme for contactless card and card readers.
