A device incorporating Bluetooth® wireless technology must undergo testing according to the Bluetooth® SIG Qualification Program in order to classify as a licensed product with the Bluetooth trademark. The CETECOM facilities in Europe and USA are accredited Bluetooth Qualification Test Facilities (BQTF) with recognized Bluetooth Qualification Experts (BQE), offering a comprehensive range of testing services:
- Regulatory Requirements
Before being released to the market, a Bluetooth® product must meet the regulatory requirements set by the international authorities. The regulatory test services of CETECOM meet all necessary international requirements to obtain worldwide market access. - Bluetooth® SIG Qualification
The objective of the Bluetooth® SIG Qualification Program is to ensure devices (end-products, subsystems or components) meet a certain level of quality standards and interoperability. Bluetooth Qualification is necessary to obtain the Bluetooth trademark and a pre-condition of the intellectual property license for using the Bluetooth technology. Companies using the Bluetooth® trademark on products are required to become members of the Bluetooth SIG. - International Market Access
In order to sell your Bluetoothi® module or product to the worldwide market involves country/community specific requirements. CETECOM’s International Type Approval (ITA) Service will give you access to more than 120 countries all over the world. We have built a strong relationship with local authorities that helps speed up the testing and approval procedures. Our international experience will also enable a fast and convenient certification of your Bluetoothi® product. - USA: CTIA Bluetooth® Compatibility Certification
CTIA Bluetooth® Compatibility Certification was created by the Bluetooth SIG and Cellular Telecommunications Industry Association (CTIA) to improve the user experience between Bluetooth mobile phones and headsets. Such devices targeting the US market will likely be required to undergo CTIA Bluetooth Compatibility Certification in addition to Bluetooth Qualification.
