Bluetooth® Special Interest Group (Bluetooth® SIG)
The requirements of the Bluetooth® Qualification Program have been established by the Bluetooth® Special Interest Group (SIG). The Bluetooth® SIG, composed of leaders in the telecommunications, computing, consumer electronics, automotive, and network industries, is driving development of Bluetooth® wireless technology and bringing it to market.
Bluetooth® trademark
The Bluetooth® trademark is owned by the Bluetooth® SIG. Anyone wanting to use the Bluetooth® trademarks for products incorperating Bluetooth® Wireless technology must be properly licensed. To become [B4]a licence, a company must become a Bluetooth® SIG member. The Bluetooth® SIG grants its members a worldwide, royalty-free, non-transferable right to use the Bluetooth® trademarks. Bluetooth® Qualification requires certain testing standards for all Bluetooth® wirelss technology products. Bluetooth® SIG members may receive assistance with qualifying products through a Bluetooth® Qualification Test Facility and Bluetooth® Qualification Expert.
