IC - Industry Canada
Telecommunications equipment is required to meet minimum technical requirements in accordance with the provisions of the legal requirements and departmental standards. Testing and certification according to regulatory requirements set by the appropriate government agency, IC (Industry Canada) is a necessary condition for market launch.
Foreign Certifications Bodies (FCB)
In an effort to make the certification process more efficient for manufacturers in and outside Canada, IC has appointed so-called Foreign Certifications Bodies (FCB). A FCB has the authority to review and grant an application for Certification on behalf of IC.
Our Services
CETECOM is an authorized FCB, offering - among others - worldwide testing and approval services according to all major IC standards:
- RSS 132, 133 & 139 for GSM/WCDMA devices
- RSS 210 for Bluetooth devices
- RSS 210 for WLAN 802.11a, b, g
- RSS 170 for Satellite Earth Stations
CETECOM also offers test services for fulfilling IC requirements:
- HAC testing according to IC regulations
- DFS testing for devices operating within the 5.25-5.35 GHz and 5.47-5.725 GHz frequencies.
- SAR testing according to IC limits
