AUTOMOTIVE EMC TESTING

CETECOM’s automotive EMC testing offers a range of quality services which can be applied at all stages of the vehicle lifecycle, in accordance with the Regulatory Directives or tailored to individual requirements of the Automotive Industry.

 

 

REGULATORY EMC TESTING OF ELECTRIC/ELECTRONIC SUBASSEMBLIES FOR MOTOR VEHICLES

Electrical components and electronic subassemblies which are intended for the installation or attachment into/at vehicles must fulfill the regulatory requirements according to EC and ECE Directives.

E-MARK

CETECOM is accredited to conduct the EMC tests and issue the technical report for the Type Approval (E-mark). The ‘E-mark’ is based on UN ECE regulations issued by the Economic Commission for Europe. The testing procedures may only be conducted by laboratories which are accredited by the respective national authorities. 

DAKKS

In addition CETECOM is accredited by DAkkS for several international and European standards (see scope of accreditation):

  • UN ECE-R10-Rev. 05 EMC for motor vehicles, trailers (M, N, O)
  • 97/24/EG # 2006/120/EG, §8 EMC for twoand three-wheeled motor vehicles

EMC TESTING OF RADIO AND TELECOMMUNICATION APPLIANCES FOR CAR INTEGRATION

Radio appliances or telecommunication devices for car integration must fulfill the R&TTE Directives referring to electromagnetic compatibility (EMC). CETECOM offers the following measurements:
