EMVCo Contact Terminal Level 1
EMV, standing for Europay, MasterCard and Visa, is the international reference specification in Smart Cards.
CETECOM is accredited by EMVCo (the EMV authors' joint company) to perform Contact Terminal Level 1 Type Approval Testing:
- EMVCo L1 approval concerns the interface module (IFM) and is application independent. Mechanical, electrical and protocol tests (T=0 and T=1) are performed to verify that the terminal can exchange messages with the card without damaging it.
