CETECOM is up-to-date in the matter of Vodafone’s new Over-the-Air (OTA) RF performance specifications!
All CTIA conform hand phantoms are available
We are pleased to serve the market needs by performing these new test requirements (version 2.4) with the following artificial hand settings (each left and right):
Hand phantom for brick-shaped (monoblock) phones
Hand phantom for clamshell (fold) phones
Hand phantom for PDA (wide) phones
Hand phantom for data (narrow phones) mode

CETECOM’s EMC Laboratory performs coexistence measurements on LTE and DVB-T devices
The team of CETECOM’s Electromagnetic Compatibility Laboratory in Essen/Germany performs coexistence measurements on LTE and DVB-T devices. CETECOM supports the industry and helps to ensure that devices operating in adjacent frequency bands such as LTE band 20 and DVB-T do not disturb each other while in use. Any interferences between the different transmission technologies must be avoided to make sure the use of the devices is safe and secured. CETECOM’s long lasting experience in the field of coexistence measurements are highly respected throughout the entire industry.

Requirements for the new German ID card and its readers
An increasing number of people already use the new German ID card. This card contains an RFID chip which awakes interest also in using the non-mandatory functions. By means of intensive tests following the BSI TR-03105 specification potential weak points in card readers and electronic identity cards can already be uncovered during the development stage. Functional tests (according to BSI TR-03119) are also offered by CETECOM, these ensure the interoperability between reader device and the AusweisApp software.
Moreover, as an accredited testing laboratory, CETECOM can conduct the regulatory conformance tests to ensure your application meeting the required EMC and RF standards. The electrical safety tests following EN 60950-1 and necessary vibration tests can also be conducted. Finally, CETECOM is also pleased to support reader manufacturers during the certification process (according to the BSI standards TR-03105 and TR-03119).

SYSTENA and CETECOM to cooperate
in Global Testing Services
SYSTENA Corporation and CETECOM announced their global cooperation in the field of testing for wireless devices including mobile phones, tablets and other devices embedding cellular technologies. This cooperation includes wireless-enabled applications aimed to end-users (consumer electronics), automotive, home appliances and others.
Most of the necessary testing to guarantee the conformance of a device against industry standards is possible under this cooperation, including the functional testing for mobile applications provided by SYSTENA and the regulatory and conformance testing offered by CETECOM. Additionally, both companies have experience, equipment and technical experts to provide device acceptance testing according to requirements established by mobile network operators inside and outside Japan. SYSTENA and CETECOM are also developing more services to satisfy additional needs of manufacturers with global vision.
