EMC
Testing for electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) is a mandatory requirement for any globally launched product with integrated electrical and electronic devices. All electrical equipment must be interference free, able to function properly in the presence of electromagnetic disturbances.
EMC applies to all electrical devices or appliances for whatever industry or product line – be it consumer electronics, mobile and radio communication, information technology, automotive, medical equipment or industrial electronic. To ensure that electromagnetic emission levels be kept within certain limits the governing bodies of each country/region have set their own EMC requirements that must be met in order to receive an approval to be released to the respective market.
CETECOM consists of a strong network of accredited EMC laboratories with facilities in Germany (2x) and the United States (2x). The state-of-the-art test labs including absorber chambers and shielded rooms are equipped with the latest EMC test systems. Besides EMC conformance testing to international EMC harmonized standards and guidelines, CETECOM’s EMC test services comprise of global EMC conformance, quality registration assessment and customized EMC testing.
