MIC Japan

Any telecommunications equipment sold in Japan must conform to the Radio Law or/and Telecommunications Business Law and related cabinet orders, ordinances and other regulations. In principle equipment must be presented to recognized institutions allowed to perform conformity testing and certification.

Recognized Certifications Bodies (RCB)

In an effort to make the certification process more efficient for manufacturers in and outside Japan, MIC (Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications) has appointed so-called Recognized Certifications Bodies (RCB). A RCB has the authority to review and grant an application for Certification on behalf of MIC. CETECOM is one of the first RCB's outside Japan.  

Our Services

CETECOM is authorized RCB in providing testing and approval services according to all relevant technical requirements for:

• Extremely low power radio equipment
• Type 1, 2 & 3 Specified radio equipment
• Terminal equipment

CETECOM also offers test services fulfilling MIC requirements:

• DFS testing for devices operating within the 5.25-5.35 GHz and 5.47-5.725 GHz frequencies
• SAR testing according to Japanese limits
• In its unique role as triple CAB (for Japan, USA and Canada) Notified Body for Europe and Bluetooth BQE as well, CETECOM can offer to the industry the most efficient and time effective service in conformity assessment.
